1. The coaches have to recognize that this team will not be a run first team. The 70-30 philosophy, at least at the beginning of a game will not garner much success in this year's SEC slate. Virtually every game will be competitive so they need to get off to an aggressive early start with balance.

2. The defense is good enough to help us compete but not dominate enough for the offense to take its time scripting 7 runs plays for every 3 pass plays. The offense will have to play more up-tempo and with a sense of urgency to help cover up the mediocre o-line play and prevent subs by the opposing defense.

3. Personnel-wise, Dupre has made a strong case to start opposite Dural with his speed and play-making ability. He has been very dependable. Also, I'm not sure Quinn should be in the slot unless stretching the field. Maybe Diarse with his size should be playing there, but not sure about his hands at this point.

4. Commit to using Williams and Hilliard out of the FB spot and in one-back sets along with Fournette. Fournette should get more carries at the running back spot. Not sure what to do with Magee because he has yet to provide much this year. Must be tough wearing the #18 jersey. He simply has to step up as he was expected to.

5. I've been impressed with Beckwith manning the middle and he seems to be getting more comfortable should be strongly considered to start. Also, what happened to Jefferson, Battle, and Adams? Thomas may need to take a seat at safety. Miles needs to stop talking about how much talent they have and start playing the most talented players.

6. I'm going to skip the D-line because apparently they are what they are no matter who is in there. They did do a good job generating pressure and getting sacks, but the final outcome dictates those things are secondary to giving up first downs or worse on the very next play usually from a run.

7. Finally, Harris came out and played with a sense of urgency and energy also seeming agitated that the plays weren't coming in fast enough. He spread the ball around more and appeared more decisve, but more importantly he threw it forward and not laterally when we needed to score. He was in during mop-up duty and still tried to make something happen because he wasn't ready to give up. Jennings was too calm and appeared to be just going through the motions. He didn't seem aware of down and distance, got too selfish at times, and certainly didn't play with the hunger Harris did. Harris is the best chance, IMO, to compete against Auburn two weeks from now.

Harris also gives the team a chance to press the reset button in having some kind of identity offensively from his ability to run to getting more people than Jennings has manage to involved in the game when passing.

After all of this, I realize that the coaches are likely to proceed with the status quo and things could get ugly very quickly.
