LSU is 4-1 against this offense. The only loss was to exceptional athlete in Auburn named Cam Newton! We beat Manziel 2012 and 2013, Auburn 2013, Oregon 2011. I may have missed one, but my point is all the BS media talk about no one being able to stop spread style of play is bullshart! And no one else has better record against it! Geaux Tigers!

To be fair, he never mentioned Wisconsin.

And there are variations of the spread. Most offenses incorporate some sort of variation of the spread in their play book

No sure if what Ole Miss ran would be considered spread. It just looked good since we took a nap on defense that night.

Ummm, we lost by 3 as time expired. I think Metts 3 INTs hurt us more than the D napping

Clemson absolutely runs the spread, but even with that LSU is unarguably one of the best against the spread if not the best (I might give the edge to Stanford but it's close). I think most people respect LSU and Chavis' ability against the spread though.

There is no doubt we are built to stop offenses like the spread. I just answered the question of never being beat by the spread.

Before 2011 the knock against Chavis was his inability to defend those types of offenses.

Experienced coaches are usually set in their ways and refuse to change. Chavis knew he needed to do something and now he seems to have mastered them.
