There's a communist bookstore there. That was real weird.

I was walking on Pearl and a girl that had to be at least 8 or 9 was playing in the fountain naked with her mom standing right there. I was just like WTF, too old to be playing naked in public. The people there are just different.

Acid test: cruise down Broadway middle of the day in your F-10 with the "GEAUX TO HELL OLE MISS" and confederate flag bumperstickers on your rear windshield, fake balls hanging from your trailer hitch and "Calling Baton Rouge" blaring from the stereo.
If nothing happens, it sounds like you're good to go.

I live in Denver. And boulder is awesome in that its so close to the mountains, and there is a ton of outdoor activities.
But unless you are a college student or have 2.5 kids, you will have nothing to do other than the mountains, and well eating out, great food in boulder.
There is no night life. There are no activities for professionals, its just university and kid stuff.
All of my friends in boulder that don't have kids moved to Denver or the 'burbs. Mostly denver.
Also, boulder is really expensive, housing is ridiculous there.
