Once you get passed the learning curve and 'get' the game's philosophy and mechanics, it's really no more difficult than any other game.

It's certainly not easy, but the difficulty is greatly exaggerated. If you can get passed the first zone and boss you're set.

started it up this afternoon.

gravity is your greatest enemy, but archers certainly don't help much either.

Started about an hour and a half ago... cooking dinner now. I have a level 106 bible thumper / fighter, these things hit HARD. Decided against bringing my glass cannon through this on NG + the first time through. Might have been a mistake.

Won't play it until tomorrow night. I think I'll use my NG++++ str/pyro character. I'm sure it will go well.

Played through it last night. Cool level design that I wish we'd seen more of in the core game, but it still has some lame enemy design and overly frustrating bosses. Out of the three bosses, only one is 1v1 and even then you can't see him half the fricking time and all his attacks go straight through your shield.

In my open opinion, yes, at least for the level itself which is a throwback to DeS and DaS. But if you hate the gank squads in the core game, then be ready to pull your pubes out with a monkey wrench. I dreamt about it.

with your current schedule, I suspect you may get to try dark souls 2 by 2030.

I got most angry over the new spells requiring so many points. I spent an hour looking for Dark Greatsword for my hexer and it requires 55 faith. I was real disappoint.

Fa real doe. That's why I'm in no rush to buy it. I have enough to keep me occupied for the next few years at least
