Would be epic. He should do it this fall. Hell, he wouldnt miss that much of the NBA season. He would also become an absolute icon in OHIO sports history

Interesting. Only way to steal GOAT status from Jordan?? Switch sports more succesfully than he did.

Every now and then you see a story about a player in his forties or fifties at a small college, so I assume there's nothing to prevent it.

Do none of yall watch college football? Every year a couple big teams have minor league burnouts. Hell, Lsu has had 2 in the last ten years. Russel Wilson, Weeden, Wenke, and a crap ton of others recently too

Your eligibility (5 years to play 4) starts the moment you step on campus. (Even if you aren't on an athletic scholarship)

You lose your eligibility (in only that sport) by signing with an agent or signing a pro contract.

So yes pro baseball or basketball players that go pro straight out of high school can come back and play a different sport.

Just the same way as an 80 year old man going to college and playing a sport if he never attended college.

Auburn has one now. WR, Melvin Ray. He caught a 50 yard TD in the BCSNCG. He signed with Bama out of HS but opted to play baseball after he was drafted. The LA Dodgers are paying his tuition at AU.
