quote:

"It's not a perfect system but when you've got an ideologically split court and 13 cases saying 9-0 the president or the administration exceeded its constitutional authority, that says something very powerful,'' Lieberman said.

"It should be reassuring to the American people about protecting their rights.''

quote:

"It's unusual or maybe even unprecedented to have that many decisions,'' Lieberman said

He also commented on Iraq.

quote:

"You've got now a bunch of radical Islamist extremists who are essentially trying to knock down the borders between two countries and say, 'we're going to create our own Islamic state and woe to everybody there if they ever get to do that,''' he said.

"And one of the main causes of the problem there that allowed this radical group to take hold is that the U.S. did not come to the side of the opposition in Syria to Assad when it took shape three years ago.

"As a result, we created a vacuum into which this truly radical, anti-American group has come in from all over the world now.''

Lieberman fears that if the Islamic State is able to establish a home base "it's going to be just like what happened in Afghanistan when the Taliban was in charge.

"They're going to plot an attempt to carry out attacks against us. I'm not just saying that myself. Their leader has said that.''

Nah, I've always thought he was a straight shooter, esp. on Foreign Policy and defense.

To put this into a good point of view, this is about a President that learned law at the prestigious Harvard School of Law, has taught Constitutional Law, and was Head of the Harvard Law Review.

It's mind boggling this is happening.

He's up there with Dennis Kucinich as liberals that I've aways respected.

He is a war loving Jew.

On the other hand, he just pimp slapped Obama on his SCOTUS decisions.

He is a straight shooter, but we were arming these anti Syrian fighters and these are the same radicals that are now ISIS.

We had stable governments in Egypt, Libya, etc etc and Odunmy chose to fight the status quo.

I could care less what form of government these countries had, as long as they were stable.

Odummy has brought forth an unstable balance throughout the middle east, and has made the radicals confidant that HE IS NEVER GOING TO CHALLENGE THEM AGAIN.

LMAO

JL committed an atrocity against the Dems when he got on TV in 2000 and said all absentee military votes in FL should be counted, while all the Dem lawyers were trying to disqualify as many as possible. That probably cost Algor and JL the election. When JL came up for re-election for his Senate seat, the Connecticut Dem party waged war on him and he lost the Dem primary. He switched to Ind and won the general election. He still voted like a Dem however.

i keep hearing--from Elizabeth "The Squaw" Warren, Hillary, various moronic senators, and all over social media--that the majority in Hobby Lobby "doesn't care about women's rights."

uhm GOOD! i don't want the SC to "care" about any particular social or political issue. i want them to apply the Constitution and serve as the impartial highest court in the land.

He's never been much of a party-line guy. He has his beliefs and he sticks with them, regardless of what his party believes.

With that, I don't think there's any other way to consider so many 9-0 decisions unless you trot out the race card (which then requires explaining how 4 liberal judges -2 of whom were appointed by said President- can be that racist yet still be considered liberals).
