I've noticed there's a Mexican food truck parked in the Hobby Lobby parking lot on O'neal Ln by I-12. It looks pretty sketchy from the outside. Has anyone tried it yet?

I'd literally eat a dog turd before eating from taco de paco again.

the ONLY thing good Ive ever had from there was the $8 for ONE small taco for the steak, goat cheese, and candied tomatoes one.

FWIW, I was coming back from fishing around 930pm and passed it Sunday night. they had a good 15-20 people outside eating / waiting on food. Might be worth checking out

Were they of southern culture? If so, that's a good sign the place is legit.

These was one that has been park just off campus on Nicholson, haven't been there in a while but it was legit. It looked like an old short bus

Pretty sure everyone was mexican. It was dark by then, but I'd try it.

There's a taco truck that's always on airline in Gonzales, near the new Leblanc's grocery store. Nothing but southern cultured folks patronizing the place. I've yet to stop and check it out but I need to.

Yep. I've seen a few pop up. The old blue and white ambulance taco one, and the bus is papusaria (sp) #2 I think.
Cant speculate on food quality from either one.

There are also taco victoria and taco gloria on florida blvd (red trailer) that are open most of the time. My employee went there and said one of the florida blvd ones were terrible, and one was really good.

I feel like Food Trucks work best in places where people are walking around, like in cities and such. Don't think i'd drive to a sketchy taco truck when Taco Bell is right down the road.

It's really good. Had 3 soft beef tacos for $6 yesterday. I didn't have cash and their card machine wasn't working. The guy said I could just bring the money the next day but I went to the ATM at the Texaco right then and there. The tacos are "street size" - a bit smaller than normal tortilla. But they were damned good... fajita style beef, fresh corn tortillas, and topped with a handmade pico.

There were a bunch of real Mexicans getting food there so I figured it had to be pretty authentic.
