Load times are something I've come to accept when it comes to the show. What about outside of that?

I couldn't get past them. I heard if you swap out the stock hard drive for a SSD, the load times drop to like 39 seconds.

I have the game and I just started playing road to the show. It's enjoyable.

Same here. I see it as the same as any other game when it comes to load times. Believe when I say I've seen worse.

I timed the load time, from hitting play it took me 40 seconds to get to game action. To me that is not bad at all.

Load times aren't bad to me at all. It's a great game mode. But this is my first year playing it.

Is it like nba 2k where it takes forever to rank up your player, so they can get you to spend more money on the game?

I can't speak to The Show because it's new for me, but if you're spending extra money on NBA 2K for attributes, you're doing it wayyyyy wrong. It's insanely easy to upgrade your player by just playing the game.

It takes more time to rank up on the show. Lucky for me I got free 30,000 in game stubs for pre ordering with Game stop. So my payer is a beast already and already made the big league in my first season

It all has to do with how you do at the showcase series before you are drafted. Me and my roommate did a shared character. We never played the game, and made a guy. Like 6th round pick, D potential, slated as organizational depth.
Were going beast mode but never got called up from double A and then got a shitty contract offer.
Restarted the mode, and did better in the showcase, going I believe second round. Potential marked as A and within half the season, we were on to triple A and the majors late in the year. Got a four year deal for 3 mill and some change.
Cliff notes: Very dependent on showcase series and how that impacts your potential grade

I havent spent extra money on 2k, but it is set up that way. I put probably 150k points on my player and hes an 88 overall.

Has anybody ever gone higher than 2nd round? Nobody I have talked to has been drafted higher than 2nd round, regardless of how they do in the showcase

I got drafted like 7th overall by the Mariners after one year of JUCO
