The presidential race is long, long, long. It's less of a contest about ideas as much as it's contest to see who can gaffe the least. HRC is as good as it gets in that regard. She's been the target of the right since the 80s.

It's kind of like Republicans screaming bloody murder over a healthcare reform bill originally designed by the Heritage Foundation and first implemented by the former GOP nominee for the President of the United States. It's strange.

I see where you're going, but Paul seems to have improved a great deal as a political pugilist since that Rachel Maddow interview in 2010, he should only get better over the next couple of years.

Disagree with you there; especially when that experience is littered with fraud and terrible execution, such as it is with HRC:
- Insider trading scandal that has been somewhat muted but never fully investigated
- Did not do anything significant as a Senator in NY other than plan her run for the presidency
- Absolute shitshow in as Secretary of State
Would still like to see someone that is a former governor, these senators don't know how to balance a budget but given Paul's stances I'd give him a shot at that....

We've seen this movie play out before in 2008 and the half term senator from Illinois still bitchslapped the other candidate that had most of those advantages.
Both Hilary and McCain.

I don't see how Rand Paul could lose to Hilary. Hilary comes off shady, and I doubt she can get the nudge in swing states. At least Rand Paul is somewhat consistent. (unlike most R's and D's)
Democrats should be looking for a Gavin Newsom type person to rise up. Maybe one who didn't bang his friend's wife.
