Two scoreless innings today. Six up and six down on 4 strikeouts and 2 easy comebackers to Ranaudo.

He'll get called up. He has done too well not to.

Had he been doing bad?
He's had some lingering injury issues stemming from the elbow he hurt at LSU. He had a solid start to the year in the Eastern League last year, not sure how he did at AAA after being called up.
ETA: Looks like he went 3-1 in 5 starts with a 2.95 ERA with Pawtucket.

Article in Saturday Boston paper said the team has worked with Ranaudo on speeding up his delivery a bit, which he's totally on board with. He's emphasizing going after hitters with his fastball and pitching inside. His velocity has ticked up a bit. The stars seem aligned for him to make huge strides this year.
