It is time for me to get a new case, and I want one that is waterproof. But having a waterproof case doesn't do you any good if it just sinks to the bottom of the lake (big lake).

I know lifeproof has a floatable attachment for their cases, but is there anything else out there? Maybe something more compact?

EDIT TO PROVIDE MORE CONTEXT:

I want a case that will protect my phone should it fall into a flooded rice field or marsh while duck hunting, and that will also float in case I drop it while fishing big lake.

I am leaning towards the lifeproof case with the life jacket attachment, but would really like some reviews. Would love to find something as effective but less bulky

Only one that floats, as far as I know.

By definition, youre going to have a hard time with that.

BTW, Best Buy and Amazon have the Lifeproof Fre case on sale for $54.99 this week.

Go to any fishing store (Dick's, Bass Pro) and they will have something that works.

Smartphone DryPak Floating Waterproof Case

I use something like this. You can still interact with your phone and talk through it if you have to (not great sound but it works).

Aryca Wave III Waterproof Phone Case

This might work too. It comes with a flotation lanyard that will keep it afloat if you drop it overboard.

Can you provide more context? i.e. what specific situations do you need this for? Everyday use? Occasional fishing use?

Why does it need to be more streamlined? Just curious as it'll probably generate some more ideas if we know exactly what/when/where it'll be used.

I have the lifejacket for my lifeproof case. It's a little bulky, but I like it. I use it kayaking and haven't had any issues. Comes with a band to go around your neck. Little pricey, but I would recommend.
