i don't know why i'm so miserable....but I wanted to know the story...how does the kid afford a studio, HD cam, etc,etc....who pays for him to play.
ends up he's some rich family's pet project

This is the story of Cornel and God’s hand upon his life. He was taken from birth without his parents consent and put in an orphanage at Suceava, northern Romania. Eventually his parents traced him but, as they were so poor, it was impossible for them to even consider taking him home as both worked long hours to support other siblings. And so Cornel remained for 9 long months until Doreen Munn first saw him in September 1992 whilst delivering aid to Romania.
Good for the guy, but this IMHO isn't inspirational or hope filled......it's heartbreaking that the kid is used as an accessory...even though he may be better off....

Disabled? You might want to change your subject title. This dude is not disabled.

That might've earned him a job with Def Leppard when Rick Allen retires!

Kudos for posting this, mandango. I've seen him play several tunes and it is inspiring, to say the least...

I saw in another thread where you said you have a Collector's kit. Very nice.
I have a Performance and almost pulled the trigger on a Yamaha Club Custom, but I decided to hold off and visit the Memphis Drum Shop to play a few first.
Have you ever heard a DW Jazz Series in bigger, non-jazz sizes? DW Jazz Series

Unfortunately, no...I haven't. I was thinking Grohl uses the Jazz Series drums in his current set-up, but, I think I'm wrong. I believe Grohl uses the Classics Series.
Several of my drummer buddies hate on DW drums, but, man...my kit is the best-sounding, easiest-tuning kit I've ever played.
A Craviotto kit is my next target which, because they're obscenely expensive, I will probably be able to purchase sometime after hell freezes over...

Yeah, they sound like such selfish people.
"I'd taken supplies to an institution in the province of Radauti and a doctor showed me this tiny baby. He had such an angelic face you couldn't help wanting to scoop him up. The doctor told me he was unlikely to survive for long and asked if I could get treatment for him in England," she says.
When Doreen returned home she and Ken made inquiries about what help they could offer. They were thrilled when doctors at their local Bupa hospital agreed to treat Cornel for free. The Munns then faced the bureaucratic challenge of bringing him to England. First, they had to track down his parents for permission to take him out of Romania, and in doing so discovered his mother had been so traumatised by the birth that she had suffered a nervous breakdown.
Cornel finally arrived at the Munns' home when he was 16 months old. Doctors were baffled by the cause and severity of his deformity, but decided that his right leg was so short and twisted that amputation was the only option. He was operated on eight months later, after his birth parents had given permission. ''We didn't feel it was right for us to take the responsibility of agreeing to an operation that would affect him for the rest of his life,'' Ken says.
Following surgery, doctors made it clear that Cornel's best hope of a normal life depended on him remaining in England.
"By then we had grown to love him," Doreen says, smiling. ''We also knew that he was an incredibly bright child. He learnt English very quickly and if he heard a story tape or song once, he could remember every word. So we had a big family discussion and decided to adopt him.''
Cornel's mother agreed. "She had, from the start, said he had no future in Romania and wanted us to keep him," Ken says. In contrast, local social services were against it. "We were in our fifties and had too many of our own children to be considered for adoption," Doreen says. "Eventually we persuaded them because of his special needs, and the adoption went through in 1994."
Yeah, they sound like such selfish people. You frick-stick.
