Looks like Baylor and Oregon are indeed not invincible (LSU related)

You xbox guys that think that teams that put up tons of yardage with the pass happy spread concept are unstoppable just don't get it. every year we hear how great they are and annoint them as NC winners and every year they crash. It appears pro style or modifyed pro style wins again.
Arizona, LSU and Okie light won on the ground and won with defense. the first spread offense i witnesses was the Houston Oilers famous "run and shoot". it was exciting and amassed tons of yardage because it spread the defense out and gave the QB multiple options. it was unstoppable so it was said.
I hope LSU sticks with the tried and true concepts of great defense and a balanced pro set O. sure, it's ok to spread it out some just like it's ok to run the option some (ditto for option read) but power football wins championships.
