Most people probably have never heard of her.
What is the music boards opinion of Laura Nyro?

She was one of my favorites. In fact, I think I still have one of her albums (those vinyl things you play on a turntable). She died much too soon.

Yes she did. Died of the same cancer her mother died of at the same age.
