in the defense of those criticizing the same overrating of scoring in the dutch league, i do remember this being a major question when pool was going after suarez, too. scoring goals in the dutch league certainly isn't a bad sign, but it's not a predictor of elite level play for sure

I'm not disagreeing with any of the points made.... I'm just trying to point out how ridiculous "our other forwards suck, so this dude is most certainly awesome!" sounds.

That's not what he said, I don't think.
I think he said that it is natural for us to get more excited about AJ given how thin we are at that position.
I agree with you though, I think he might be the real deal. He definitely looks the part.
