So WTF is going to happen at Brighton?

Poyet and his staff have been suspended since may. Preseason training starts most places this coming week. Hard to recruit new signings when you are basically managerless. A shame because the seagulls should contend for promotion again assuming everything gets sorted out soon

Such a weird ordeal. I haven't heard the real reason for alleged breach of contract. I had read about potential replacements the club had lined up, including Phil Neville but it looks like Brighton are going the interim route for now as players report tomorrow.

Today, Poyet learned he was officially fired when BBC producers printed out a press release from the team announcing the decision and it was read aloud for him on air.
Poyet was working as an analyst for the BBC's Match of the Day featuring Spain-Nigeria, a match Spain won 3-0, when he heard the news.
The team never officially commented on why he had been suspended but it is believed that he and ownership got into an altercation immediately following the loss over his refusal to deal with the retained list.
