No wonder Diablo III had so much hate. I just think people have moved away from Hack N Slash based on the minimal comments on Path.

indeed.
what was popular and good in 2003 isnt quite as good in 2013
most of us played the PoE beta and got burnt out on it long before you installed it.
its a solid game for what it is, but... the hack n slash dungeon crawler loot pinata fest is just tired and stale for me

Yeah, it was stale for me when Diablo III came out and Torchlight.
I'm just impressed by the game given that it is free. It is Diablo III quality and free. Boggles my brain a bit.
I'm pretty sure I'll buy some of the micro stuff just to give them some cash because I've had enough fun that they deserve some reward.

Do the weapons and armor just suck in merciless?
I'm using the same weapons and armor I had around act 2 of Cruel.
I'm level 64 and the damn store and monster drops seems stuck on the same crap from when I was level 40.
I guess that is how they ramped up the difficulty.

I've been trying to hype this game up around here
POE is a fine game and I'm glad to see an Indie game do well.
I've been playing sporadically myself. Getting a bit bored with my marauder though.

I've been running the damn ledge for days trying to get something better to defend and fight with. I was getting owned in merciless in later stages of Act 1.
I'm late to the party but it amazes me that this game is free. I've been off hack n slash for several years but this has me wanting to get Torchlight or maybe Borderlands next.

Really hating Merciless. Damn Vaal must have one hit me with his laser beam about 30 times then I forgot to use a damn portal scroll. Hate when I do that.
I still can't get any decent gear. Still using same damn axes from end of last difficulty. Act III is a pain in the arse with shitty gear.
Used all of my saved up orbs trying to upgrade and never got anything better than what i already had.

Anyone played since patch 11.0? I took a break and was just reading about the massive rebalancing today. Unfortunately I won't be able to get back into it for a couple weeks due to moving.

I was a cleave marauder.
Finally got bored trying to get good enough gear to survive. thought about using the respec from the new patch.
Instead started a whole new character. going with a elemental ranger in hardcore.
So far the ranger has been solid, especially now that I know how to set up the gems and auras.
I should hit VAAL this afternoon so my time in hardcore could be coming to an end.

No idea since I started a completely different style of character. I can't really compare before after.
I've read people rending and tearing their garments in frustration over the horrible rebalance and I've seen people claiming it is great.
