Can someone explain why the price of UVXY goes up when the markets are down and vice versa? Is this some kind of inverse ETF? How do you know an ETF does this?

Is there an ETF that doesn't have a negative correlation to the market but has high volatility just like UVXY? I am a glass half full kind of guy. I hate betting against something. I'd rather root for something to go up.

SPXL is bull on S&P

But why would you want a bull ETF in a market that is historically at an all time high

Just sold the last remaining 3000 shares of UVXY.......@ 7.74 from a purchase price of 5.74......

That wasn't a bad ride..........Hope I didn't pull out too early.

Time decay is the worst. Who remembers the ultrashort funds DUG and SKF from the 2009 apocalyptic days?

I never played with DIG and DUG..........but they were some bad roller coasters.

I did have some nice rides with BOIL...........

If its below 38 I always buy 500......and set my sell limit at 44........Done it twice in 12.......

It's a natural gas 2x multiplier........if it falls below 40 I'll probably scoop up another 500 because when hurricane season and winter projections come through in fall it usually skyrockets back to the high 40s-low 50s.

Natural Gas prices have been at all time lows the last 3 years........I'm just following the formula of buy low......
