Why did you die it in the first place?

For two summers it stayed like chocolate milk. Just wanted to try something to see if would help. I'm gonna put an aerator in it shortly, and if that helps with the algae, I'll let it get back to its natural color.

This is our deck. My wife loves this deck and our pond. She feeds the fish before she feeds me! my initial motive was to make it nice for her, that's what really started it. Again, it's a great pond, fish are healthy and plentifull, just fighting that goofey arse color every year.

Honestly, if you're catching 4 bass in 15 minutes, by just recreationally fishing you can probably keep all the bass you want and won't hurt the population. 150 acres is pretty damn big.

Here is a link that may have some info you'd be interested in.
Pond Boss Fourm
As to the size, do all State Parks use the same slots? That may be a good indicator.

I have to agree every pond is different.. but you should call me out and I can take a look at it and give you my assessment.. for free.. whenever you would like

Aerator should help. Instead of dye check out aluminum sulfate or gypsum. It will clear it up without it being a weird color. Only problem with clear water is unwanted vegetation

I can tell you where it is. Just don't want what has happened in the past to happen again on one little honey hole.
From this post, I wouldn't be surprised to get more email addresses than a hardleg thread

And a 5 acre pond might be too small to have bass, sac a lait, and catfish. Too many top line predators. The sac a lait compete with the bass for the same forage and make it hard to grow a lot of large bass. You will end up with a lot of small bass if you don't heavily cull both bass and sac a lait. There will be a couple of lunker bass but you probably will never catch them. I see a lot of fish fries in your future
