I've been working in the actuarial field for five years. I work for a consulting firm in Texas. We mostly deal with pension plans but I've been moving more toward postretirement medical and life insurance benefits. Wish you the best on your exam, they are a lot of work but are worth the effort. Let me know if I can help in any way.

If you take the exams and pass two and start applying and trying to network with current actuaries you will make it in. Lots of people start with other jobs. Deputy Chdief actuary and my hiring manager of my internship that I met started elsewhere with zero experience
