6'3 200, 27 years old, swings lefty, hitting in the 2-hole in a good lineup. Hit .294 with 22 doubles, 5 triples, 6 HR in half a season last year.

Is hitting .400 with 5 doubles and a HR this year to go along with 6 RBI and 11 runs scored.

Some of the experts pan his lack of HR's and SB's, but looking at his minor league numbers, I see no reason why he can't be a .300 hitter with 100 runs, 80 RBIs, and 15 HR with upside for 20-25 HR.

Your thoughts?

Yeah, really like the guy in that lineup. The 2B eligibility is going to make him a great asset.

Yes 2b eligibility will help me out a ton since Reyes went down and have to move Asdrubral to my SS hole. So I will have Phillips at 2b and Asdrubral at SS and Carpenter at 2b/ss position.
