How much would Vasquez get in his next deal?

This thread is not intended to re-discuss whether Vasquez will be with us or should be our starter in the future. I just want to have an idea of how much you think he will get regardless of weather he is with us, or with someone else.

I am thinking about a 4 year deal, and I post 3 scenarios: A- a deal where the team gets the better end of the deal, B a fair deal for both sides and C a deal where Vasquez gets the better end.

As a reference, the Advances statistics suggest that Vasquez wins shares for the year so far make him worth $6.85 million (this is usually an inflated estimator). So in my opinion the figures for the 3 scenarios are:

A $4m/y ($16m/4years) the team wins
B $5m/y ($20m/4y) Fair deal
C $6m/y ($25m/4y) Vasquez wins

What do you think?

I think his price may go up a couple million per year if we let him hit the open market. Someone will drive his price up.

If you look at Vasquez's history, he had a very cocky streak at Maryland. I think, as another poster recently pointed out, he's matured since then. I think he's become a "positive" team player. This along with the obvious stats shows that he may be very willing to receive a deal that's most positive for the franchise. This cat wants to win but knows what it takes to win.

He will make $7m per year. Could jump up into $8m+ if he sustains his current play.

Dude is 26; he'll be trying to get as many years as possible. No way he accepts a 2 yr deal.

Vasquez is a complimentary piece, not a cornerstone. There's a chance a bad team pays him a lot to start, but I think it's more likely the market for Vasquez would come from playoff teams which means the MLE is as high as things go.

We have him for another year before he is even a RFA. Basically, we just have to hope nobody drives us up.

I really don't see any team giving him $8/y

Teams like to drive you up when you intend to resign a RFA, so you never know.
