Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music
This is a lot of fun. I'm learning something. I'm very familiar with the songs on the album because I heard them every day on the radio. Just didn't consider them as crossover because I'm not sure the term was even valid back then. I grew up listening to the "Big Ape WAPE, mighty 690" out of Jacksonville, Fl. I believe it had a sister station in New Orleans or Baton Rouge, don't rightly remember, by the same call letters.
