Just bought a 50 rd box of Hornady 223 Rem 50gr SP at Academy for $29.99.

Refresh my memory, I know the Hornady TAP is in a silver casing. Does your ammo have a red tip on a copper jacket or is it black?

Yea, have 200 rounds of it from Cabelas for a little less than that, but you prolly got me beat after shipping. Good stuff, and you can reload the brass

SP means Soft Point....therefore its a lead point not a red or black tip.

I don't think Hornady makes any bad stuff. At $0.60/rnd for SP that's about market price.

I posted links this AM to Cabelas and AIM, AIM was 500 rounds for $195 I think, but that shite sold out before I could finish posting. And AIM had Wolf sell out in literally a minute.

Glad to know I bought something worthwhile. I've got an AR lower on the way and will start building it out in a few weeks.
