I can't understand why so many people want to take a simple anomoly and find meaning in it.

We went head to head with A&M on really 1, RSJ maybe 2 players if you count Parker. We could possibly get 2 of the top 5 players from Texas in 2014.

ETA: also look where UT and Oklahoma's classes are ranked. Then look where those 2 have been ranked in the recent past.

Really? Every single class in Texas is the EXACT SAME in terms of quality?

You seriously don't have a clue about what you are talking about but carry on.

RSJ was the only major guy from TX we went after this year that I can remember. IMO, losing him, while sucky, wasn't as big a deal as a lot of people made it out to be. We are in a pretty good position to get some elite kids from Texas in 2014 (Paris, Brown, etc) so no, the sky isn't falling. We still have a fantastic class this year that most schools would die for.

Obviously you don't follow recruiting so I will leave it at that.

Uh yes, it's absolutely the case and has been stated by many different people "in the know". IT is not a strong year for TX talent, we didn't recruit TX very hard at all. Next year BLOWS AWAY this year. Ricky Seals-Jones is considered one of the state's top recruits and he looked completely lost during his all star week/game. WAY overrated.

What about OU? I think the Aggies hurt OU and UT more than LSU, we will still sneak in and get a couple of guys most years.

Texas A&M is benefiting from having Cameron Newton 2.0, but this guy is even better. I would say that 80% of their upswing had to do with having Johnny football.
