LA Honoring TX CCL Question

Question: I have my CCL in Texas, and in reading USACarry.com, Louisiana honors Texas CCLs. I'm guessing this means I am conceal carry while in LA with no issues. Can anyone confirm this? I have read through the aforementioned website but they don't directly spell it out.

That would be exactly what it means. I am unsure if you can carry in LA but I know that I can carry in TX.

Reciprocity means it's respected in either state, and the same goes for the other state. So in LA and TX you can CC with either a LA or TX CC permit.
But in each state, you must follow that state's laws. I would look into LA laws so you make sure you stay in the green with your decisions.

Not every state is reciprocity in nature. If they were, LA's CCL would not be the most recognized. They would all be the same, which they arent.

I guess I'll learn that when I take a class soon. I figured reciprocity meant both.

Some states, yes. Some, no.
Just know that a LA license allows you to go anywhere on the gulf coast and most of the south.
