"I know Sean is going to sit me down for a couple of hours in the offseason...and I know he is going to rip me a new one. And I'm excited about that."

I'd imagine Coach Payton has film of every ball Graham dropped this year and is going to sit him down and make him watch every one of them in a room by himself. After it's over, he returns and asks "Did you do your fricking job this year?"

Jimmy knows that SP's philosophy is this:

The Standard is Excellece. Excellence at all times and in all phases of the profession.

If Excellence is not attained, improvement is required.

Excellence is the Standard, and, this is not negotiable.

Attain Excellence or request dismissal. Period.

Lets not forget that Graham played through a wrist injury that will require surgery. This definitely lead to his drops being sky high this year.

i hate to say it, because i love the guy, but by not doing his own job, SP let down the team and the state of La.

I say if these drops continue next year it time to move on. NFL tightends are paid to catch it not drop it shouldn't be tolarated. Also if he needs Payton around to not drop it is a crock of shite.

then he should ahve went ahead and had the surgery to begin the healing process because the drops didn't help against Carolina and the Saints were already eliminated.

Yeah and having Dave Thomas as our number one tight end sounds great... I'm really glad you are not the gm or head coach

I think guys playing at far less than 100% and how that affects their performance is one of the least understood or recognized aspects of the game

We even know Graham has been playing while needing surgery for the wrist. Plenty of times that kinda thing only comes out after the season (and sometimes never I think). It was '08 i believe when peeps were piling on Will Smith on how bad he was. Turned out he had the groin issue that needed surgery but just played most of the season through it.

Colston's foot at the beginning of the year another. Remember him back from a broken collarbone in 3 weeks?!

I'm willing to bte that is the story for Hawthorne this year. Look past the numbers and appreciate the gamers. There's plenty of teams where ya won't find that near as often.
