Is Goodell going to slap us with his dick when it comes to our 2nd round pick in the draft?

That was an awesome read, and it really shows how much better the last 2 commissioners where and how horrible of a commissioner and how stupid of a business man Goodell is. Who thought it would be a good idea to put that numbnut in charge?

Like the articcle says:

quote:

Hopefully, Goodell will be able to set aside the public nature of the friendly scolding and draw from Tagliabue’s words the lessons that will help the league office deal with similar problems effectively and properly in the future.

I really got pleasure out of reading that. Tag slapped Goodell down just like a father would a son.

I think to save face Goodell realized his and the NFL's only way out was to let Tags handle it.
Goodell knows he messed up and the only way to fix it was to let Tag come clean it up.

It's in the NFL's best interest to have the focus on the upcoming playoffs and Super Bowl. Goodell didn't need to be answering questions and dealing with this issue anymore. Hopefully, now, the Saints can get Payton back and put the focus on the team and not the suspensions going forward. This is probably Vilma's last few games with the Saints anyway and possibly Smith unless they come back for a lot cheaper money.

Best line of the article is at the end.

quote:

Hopefully, Goodell will be able to set aside the public nature of the friendly scolding and draw from Tagliabue’s words the lessons that will help the league office deal with similar problems effectively and properly in the future. Though that may eventually occur, in the short term it’s safe to assume that Goodell will read Tagliabue’s words and privately seethe.
