This thread is really getting me excited!

We're going to have one hell of a team.

The kid is obviously a stud, but word on the street is that he has some baggage with him.
Nonetheless I'd love to have him.

If you take Deng out and add Frazier to this class then it looks like a class UNC or Duke would sign. Jones is going to have us contending for National Titles if he keeps this up in a few years. I just don't understand how the guy was at N. Texas all those years?

you are an idiot. Why wouldn't the kid think he going to the nba?? Why wouldn't he want his mom not to work?? why the hell wouldn't he be confident??

He had basically built UNT from nothing to a consistent 20 win a year program. I think he had some loyalty to them for giving him his first real shot a becoming a HC. And also, I think there was really only one job out there that he wanted to move for. He was patient and bided his time and waited until LSU came open.

Now, he's in a position to cash in on those relationships he's been grooming for a decade and start getting the players that were too high end, for lack of a better term, for him at UNT.

He can recruit the same schools and coaches in the Dallas area, but instead of getting the 5th best kid on a loaded team, he can get the best or second best, if that makes sense.

Honestly, it looks like he is already pretty well off. He's got a some nice designer clothes.

First off, you're the idiot for assuming I'm an idiot because of a post.
Secondly, you obviously haven't followed the kid very closely. Given, he is just a kid and could still change. I was just merely bringing up a point. And when you're rebuilding a team you're looking for kids of character, not just straight up athletes i.e Texas.

I wrote the same stuff in my diary 20 years ago and none of it turned out like I expected.

Hope it turns out better for Frazier.

If Frazier is interested in playing time, here is how it breaks down between the teams he is interested in:

Memphis: 3rd ranked class, 5 commits (1 SG)
-3 returning SG
LSU: 10th ranked class, 4 commits (0 SG)
-2 returning SG
Arizona: 18th ranked class, 2 commits (1 SG)
-3 returning SG
A&M: 32nd ranked class, 4 commits (0 SG)
-3 returning SG
Texas: UR class, 0 commits
-2 returning SG

Based on these numbers and his want for early playing time, I think we have a real, legitimate shot at Frazier

Its nice to see Johnny going after the biggest names in the region and already landing a great class. With him and Kirby I at least feel like opposing schools, with the exceptions of traditional powers, will have to work their asses off to out recruit us.

With Grandpa Johnson we never got any national recognition on the recruiting trail and never had any idea of who the hell we were even recruiting. Only proof of recruiting I ever saw with the old staff was seeing Donny Guerinoni buying Reese's cups and a Sprite at a Laplace truck stop one time.
