I really laughed at this when I found out. How can anyone have respect for him?

He goes from being the head coach of an SEC program to a wide receivers coach on a team that has beaten him...

2012: L 38-0
2011: L 48-10
2010: L 48-14
2009: L 41-7
2008: L 63-5
2007: L 45-37
2006: L 26-7
2005: L 49-28
2004: L 20-3
2003: L 24-21

402-132 since Joker Phillips has been at Kentucky. Why in the world did they even hire him considering the fact they couldn't beat UF while he was an assistant. What made them think he could do it as a H.C.?

Got news for ya bro, but Mark Stoops isn't beating UF either at UK. Neither would the Harbaugh twins, tomlin, belichik, etc.

Thats not really a fair standard.

No one would hire anyone from a losing school, and no coaches would go there is that was the barometer.

And hows it his fault they lost when he wasnt HC?

Most UK fans will concede that he's a great WR coach and OC but just wasn't very good as a HC for program management purposes. Ron Cooper is a great example of a guy who wasn't a very good HC (had a 1 win season at Louisville in a shite conference) but went on to obviously do well for himself in a coordinator/position coach capacity.
