Was just talking to a FSU fan about recruiting and I had to share. He was bragging about the classes they had come in the past few years and how FSU is about to run a dynasty!!

I know every year is important in recruiting and in 2013 we have some studs (com on Williams & Beckwith), however, I was telling him about the La recruits in 2014. It should be HUGE for LSU. For every "position of need" we don't even have to leave the state for except maybe the 3 DBs out of Texas. I was telling him if we get (see below) LSU would be set-up for years!!

Are there any other recruits out there we are looking at within the state that are "flying under the radar"???

Fournette (he said he never heard of him; I said, "ask Jimbo about him")
Robinson
Clapp
Brumfied
Willis
L.Jones
Dupre
Quinn
Noil
Godchaux
Sims
Washington

Texas DBs
Brown
Paris
Simmons

TD vets, don't beat me up too bad with your replies (i read the board everyday), I know I'm looking 2 yrs ahead, I'm just excited about the potential and trying to represent my home team from overseas!!! lol...Wish I was home to see us beat the Hogs today!!!

BTW: Nick stay out the boot, leave our guys alone...

For as long as I've been following recruiting, of '14 stays intact and LSU land most of these guys, I think it's going to be the best class I've ever seen to LSU.

That's not counting OOS kids we haven't even considered yet.

Other in-state recruits LSU may be looking at include:

Rae Juan Marbley, LB, Destrehan
Garrard McDowell, DT, Covington
Anthony Jones, TE, Edna Karr
Ricky Gibson, DB, Marksville
Terrence Alexander, CB, John Curtis
Corey McBride, Ath, Dutchtown
Kenny Young, LB, John Curtis

I'm sure there are a few more.

Haha! Chinese, you're right. I should have just pointed the OP back to the 2014 recruits/prospects thread. You did a great job putting that one together. Was just trying to identify the in-state prospects who might be flying under the radar.

Sims from Ouachita is going to be a beast. Also, I know it's years away but there are 3 kids that will be in the 2018/2019 class from the Monroe area that will have their pick of any school they want if they keep their shite together. I'll post their names here or a different thread when I get to my office Monday. One will play at Neville. They call him Blind Side b/c he was fostered or adopted by a white family. He's 6'2 180 and came from track and basketball he will be the second coming of Mingo. The other two will go to Ouachita and both are 6'1 burners that can play on either side of the ball. I know it's a long ways away but these kids all play in the same age group and play on a different level than all of the others I've seen at that age. All 3 will actually play on a team this weekend in a tournament I'm putting on at ULM. We have teams coming from all over to play in a two day event so there could be more than a handful of elite players out there.

You're awesome!

We appreciate your service!

Had a friend that was a golf pro in Austria. Bunch of the pilots from an AF base in Germany played golf there. Guys used to buzz him and do all kinds of crazy stuff when they flew over the course.

I normally just read and not post, but wanted to thank you for your service. Stay safe! I went to the AR game yesterday - you didn't miss much not being there in person. The crowd was as quiet as I have ever seen for most of the game. No comparison to lively night in Baton Rouge. I hope you got to see it on tv, though. Hopefully, you are back home safe next year and get to see a game in person in Death Valley.

You are spot on with the 14 class, but don't discount next year's class too much. It is shaping up nicely, although I am hoping for another DT to go along with Mr Gilmore. The future looks bright for LSU!

God, that would be the most stout class ever to sign with LSU.

That would be true if they could beat powerhouses like Wake Forest and NC State.

Thank you for serving our country! We pray for and appreciate you. Awesome list with DT McDowell and LB Young will be an awesome in state haul. The guys at 247 sound positive about getting the in state guys and 3 from Texas that you listed. Throw in some recruits from Florida and NC, call it another solid class.
