Lsu 1st down defense
Pressure McCarron all night
Don't abandon the run
Reduce penalties
Catch the ball
This game has the makings of a classic with Bama having the same mindset as Florida did going into the Georgia game. If LSU can withstand Bama's 1st quarter onslaught this will be a Whale of a game. Geaux Tigers.

I agree with that for the most part. I honestly hope we run a couple of 4 wide sets and spread Bama's D out. Stretch the field horizontally and vertically which will loosen up the middle of the defense enough for the RB's to get going. Unfortunately I don't think that will happen but we'll see.

I think 1st down offense is most important. We need to get 4+ yds consistently on 1st down so that we're not trying to convert 3rd and long.

Special teams play including the flipping of field with punting.
Good clock management
Hopefully Zack has watched enough game film in the last TWO weeks to recognize Bama's Def and can use our home field advantage to audible any changes.

- Big play or two on special teams
- Brad Wing better show up
- For God's sake ... LSU CANNOT go into the "3 & out" show that we saw vs. Florida...or else you can forget about the D pressuring McCarron all night.

miles will never abandon the run. you don't have to worry about that. LSU wins this game easily

1. Pressure on AJ. Got to get some turnovers or defensive 3 and outs with Bama deep in their own territory.
2. Mett has to complete some passes and not turn it over. Doesn't have to be perfect all night or play the game of his life, just needs to be better than 50% with no turnovers.
3. Wing and Allemont need to be on. We need their A+ games.
4. Jeremy Hill needs the ball. He has proven to be the one offensive weapon who can create a big play.
5. Crowd needs to bring it.

I view that as a given, so long as the game is within 7 pts or less.
And ... if Bama goes up 14 ... forget it anyway.
