Personally I think the play of LSU is a hangover from 01/09/2012. Same crappy o-line play, same inablity to throw the football, dropped passes, penalities (players commit them but discipline instilled by the coaches stops most of these). The defense this year appears to tackle much worse than last year. A lot of the problems are coaching; the same boneheaded problems that were exposed on 01/09/2012. Winning fixes a lot of problems. If LSU continues to turn the ball over, gets sacks on the QB with 4 man rushes, 9 or 10 penalties a game, and fails to convert a 3rd down in the first half; the magic potion of winning despite poor coaching will go away.

Man, that sounds too much like 2008 and 2009. The problems of those two years didn't really get fixed until coaching staff changes after each of those years, and the problems persisted in-season.

I hope this is not a refrain we keep hearing this year.
