I confess I didn't do my research going into this game. I thought LSU was one of those teams that was good enough to get out of a regional, but no further.
But your hitters were patient, pesky, and aggressive at the plate. Chelsea Thomas was clearly frustrated and tried to aim around the zone instead of doing what she does best and just throw the ball.
I think Mizzou can definitely still win the series, but it'll all rely on Thomas and how she looks early on. Some more offense wouldn't hurt either (so many things went wrong tonight, ugh).
If this what the competitiveness level will be, I'm going to be looking forward to every spring/summer from here on. Good job tigers.

LSU is no slouch. I mean, the girls have wins against Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida on the road along with a win against UGA. People just like to point out there horrendous batting average, but they know how to make timely hits at times.

I'll leave you with this:
Arizona State, South Florida and Oregon all won the series after losing game 1. It ain't over by a long shot.

Fico is one of the top pitchers in the country, in softball sometimes that's all it takes

Damn good pitching though. Fico doesn't need much run support

That's why I'm getting the popcorn ready for tomorrow. Should be a fun day. Our baseball team is playing Oklahoma for the Big 12 championship tomorrow too.

LSU has not scored that many runs in a month. Their weekness is hitting but not tonight. Well done.

the 1 run Mizzou got against Fico actually RAISED her ERA
as it is... LSU has another pretty darn good arm in B-Mack

Give a good SEC chant after winning. Doing it at the basketball tourney was awesome.

Need to keep it up b/c you have to remember 4 of our runs came from 2 bases loaded walks and 2 came from bases loaded HBP. Ump had a tight zone and Fico worked it better and maintained her poise better than Thomas.
