What a pitching performance by that young man against Arkansas tonight. He threw 22 pitches over 100 mph.In the 8th inning he threw 101,102 and another pitch 103.Through 8 inning he threw 92 pitches with 59 for strikes.Taken out in 9th after two outs.Tremendous performance.

Did they pull him so he would get a standing ovation from the crowd or was it a tight game still?

it was 4-0 in the 9th. he struck out the first batter, got the second batter to fly out and then walked the third batter. his velocity had dropped down to the 95mph range and they yanked him.

I think they pulled him to get a standing ovation for the pitching performance tonight. They had a 4 run lead with two outs in the 9th.

I would have let him get the last out for the complete game shutout
