Could the biggest hindrance to a CFB playoff be the NFL?

With the money involved and available with a playoff it just makes too much sense for the presidents, etc. to not get involved.

So could it be the NFL's influence? Shelf life for NFL players is short as it is. With an extra 2-3 games for the premier programs, you're just adding more wear and tear/chance of injury, especially on positions like RB.

So anyway, is it possible the NFL is silently lobbying against a playoff?

NCAA has been much too friendly with NFL/NBA in the past for me to be fully surprised if that were the case. That being said, I doubt it.

with all the extra money, there will be tons of arguments about how to split it

you tell me the logical way to split it to make the big10, SEC, pac12, big12, big east, and ACC happy
