1) i have no idea
2) a dynamic young guy that can recruit

i guess i'm kind of dense but i have never understood why A&M has had to resort to breaking the rules to win. this is not a knock; just history and it appears that after the last time y'all got in trouble that has changed. i just see your school as being in a great positon to attract 25 damn good recruits a year within the borders of texas. the state produces so many and tejas can only sign 25 and the other in-state schools don't get many of the real good ones. personally, i think sherman was a very good coach, he just couldn't recruit well enough; sure, he signed some excellent players just not enough of them. to be successful in the sec you will need coaches that can sign the big, quick, fast and bad arse defensive linemen and top of the line db's. sherman didn't seem to have success with those 2 positions.

Had aTm signed Sumlin at the first of this week the admin could have crowed about making a "great hire" after looking at the options. They could have pointed to Sumlin saying yes to aTm and turning his back on the others that were chasing him. If they hire him now they will do so with egg on their faces and look silly if they try to claim any kind of victory.

Now, anyone they bring in has to be a big splash or viewed as 4th choice at best.

Time to gamble on the best future and just hope the choice works out. Every day they wait could cost them another recruit. The loss of a good LB prospect like DD this week should wake someone up. That kid is the type of gamer aTm needs in this league.

Welcome to Texas A&M football. I had hopes the admins would be forced to stop sucking when it comes to football decisions with the SEC move but here we are. I'm going tO have the priviledge to watch my team and school be the laughingstock of the SEC and the big 12 schools laughing at for leaving to be even worse.

Here is a good side for you. Say you had landed CMR then UGA grabbed Kirby. How would the fan base have reacted in a few years if Kirby came to town with his UGA D and kicked the Aggies' teeth in?
