Haven't seen much mention of it on here (?) but Chief is a finalist for the Broyles Award today in Little Rock. Annually awarded to the top Assistant Coach in NCAA D1, Chavis has been nominated seven times previously but has never been a Top Five finalist before.
Here's hoping he wins it - other finalists are Greg Mattison (Michigan), Paul Chryst (Wisconsin), Garrick McGee (Arkansas), and Sunseri (?) (Alabama).
