Uh, we do know this and for a very long time. Roger Ebert wrote about this in the 80's. How the industry chopped up reviews and splattered the out of context praise on movie posters.

Honestly, the two most surprising ones to me was the Hollywood accounting (which I am surprised is even legal), and the blatant stealing of ideas. Especially considering these movie studios could probably very easily afford just to pay the original writer instead of the eventual lawsuit.
