A surprising description used by VerizonFios about LSU

I am watching football in California on VerizonFios. I was scrolling through the guide and noticed that Channel 553 (FXHD) has a funny "info" about the program on that station. It says:
"Nevada Wolf Pack at Oregon Ducks from Autzen Stadium. Oregon was whipped by LSU in the season opener last week at Cowboys Stadium..."
I just thought "whipped" was a great description!!! But I was a little surprised by the description. I don't know if I have ever seen such a descriptive word used in the information sections of such channel guides.
