Why not? He beat our arse and took Arkansas to the Sugar Bowl pretty quick.

Making a couple million/year and living in the Fayette-nam area, I'm sure he's fairly comfortable. Not as comfortable as the Waltons, but comfortable.

Just asking. I don't give a shite if he's qualified to teach my kids morality, that's what I do. I want someone to win. He can do that. I really don't see any difference between he and Saban when it comes to loyalty.

This will be the question as soon as he has some success at LSU and a bigger offer comes:

I hate the Falcons, but him bailing on them in the middle of the season with everything that went on that season and not even giving Arthur Blank any real notice was completely immoral.

That's legitimate. I remember it being really bad that year and him quitting during the season, but if he did come here we would never lose him to the NFL. He may also be balled in the league too which wouldn't be good for recruits so?

$3.56 million and his $18 million dollar buyout might be an obstacle.

I think he just agreed to a new deal with a substantial buyout. Not sure if he signed it yet.

Programs like Texas, Notre Dame, and USC have much more money and wealthier boosters than LSU.

Jim Tressel and Mack Brown should be retiring within the next few years. Good luck on retaining Petrino if he continues his success.

Obviously you left Michigan out. But I realize that, when you take the NFL out t the pool of bigger fish goes from like 30+ to 5. Which is les fish, so thanks.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is written in there.

It is. His previous contract said SEC West, but the new one says any SEC team.

Nowadays, I don't think any SEC team will try to steal another teams head coach away. There is just too much mutual respect within the conference. If Dan Mullen was coaching at USF instead of MSU, Muschamp wouldn't be the new coach at Florida right now.
