Can someone tell me how they compare to each other? Which is better and who has the better potential? thanks

-jacoby is faster with a 6.6 sixty, cecchini is a 6.7 runner...
-cecchini has a big league approach at the plate. he is a game changer with the bat
-jones is very raw and if he can get his tools to be playable, then u got a really good ballplayer
- cecchini has instincts and no one can teach that, u have to be blessed with it. and i say this because jacoby is faster than cecchini, but i can gurantee you cecchini will steal more bases than him, bc he has instincs! he stole 50 his sophmore year and 55 his junior year, and lead the team in stolen bases his senior year with 25 in 14 games he played in!
- they have the same arm strenghth
- they both can play defense
- cecchini gets the name of "ballplayer" by alot of people in the baseball industry, because he is not afraid to down and dirty when he needs too, he is the one guy that a coach, a GM, scouting director or a fan would love to have on his team! he is a big difference maker!

Hanging around a ballpark your entire life doesn't hurt.

Wow, didn't realize Cecchini was that far apart from Jones! I'd love to see him wear the purple/gold

So, Jacoby Jones who hit .415 in high school at age 12 is just a raw tools player because he's not from Barbe?

Not sure his intention, but could be that Cechinni is just more polished, more so that most kids at his age, due to his obvious upbringing. Having seen neither play I have no opinion but from what I've read they're very similar, raw or polished.

since the guy has 4 posts and they're all claiming inside knowledge on Cecchini, I'd say he's probably a little biased. I'm not sure if the Astros asked Garin to be the #8 overall pick for $1.4 million.
Jones' MLB.com scouting report doesn't seem to think he's just a raw talent

Scouting Report
Hitting ability: Jones has terrific bat speed and has plus overall hitting ability.
Power: It's a solid above-average to plus now and could be a consistent plus in the future.
Running speed: He is a plus runner now and sould settle into average speed as he fills out.
Base running: He's a solid baserunner.
Arm strength: It's not plus, but he's got a solid arm.
Fielding: He has good hands and feet, and might be able to stay at shortstop even with his size.
Range: He covers plenty of ground, giving scouts hope that he can stick around at short.
Physical Description: Jones is big and athletic, with a Troy Tulowitzki-type build.
Medical Update: Healthy.
Strengths: Plus hitting ability with plus power in a package that might be able to stay at shortstop.
Weaknesses: There's a chance he'll outgrow shortstop, and he doesn't have a plus arm for the position.
Summary: While Manny Machado in Miami gets most of the buzz regarding high school bats these days, and rightfully so, Jones isn't too far behind. The Mississippi prep product could have a special bat, with plus power. He's got all the tools to stay at shortstop, with good hands and excellent range. Even if he outgrew short, it looks like he might have enough bat to handle a corner position. He's not going to be the first prep position player to go off the board, but he shouldn't have to wait too long to hear his name called.

Given a choice between the two, I'd take Jones.

They're both very good. Jones probably has more potential. He's been said to be just slighty behind machado who was the #3 pick in the draft. That should tell you the type of ceiling he has.

Jones has a wiry build. Long sinewy muscles and almost looks skinny. Personally, my experience is that guys with that kind of build are very, very strong for their weight. I think Jones has the more athletic build and we will all be surprised by his power

id take Cechinni, but not by much.
Cechinni is the type of kid that could step in and hit in the middle of our order. Jones will take some seasoning, imo
