Just play football

Why don't we get the play, huddle up, make sure everyone knows the play and just play football. Why do we need to run a no huddle, then have to look to the sideline for 15 seconds, get confused, then snap the ball with 3 seconds on the play clock? Just line up and play the game, if we have to pass to set up the run, do it, if we have to run to set up the pass, do it. Just play the game. Leave the option out of the book, it has not worked. Late in game, fourth down, LSU had no clue what it was to do. Sacked. Offense looks like Sunday afternoon sandlot.

I think this would be the best thing for our OL right now. Get everyone on the same page and eliminate confusion.

Does anyone else on here think the OL is getting blown off the line because of this bull shite check off to the sideline. I mean they have to sit there in their stance for an extra 20 secs waiting on the damn players to get the play call. How many times this year have we seen a hard snap or anything trying to get the d to jump offsides. None because we are staring at the side line trying to get the freaking play call. DAMN IT!!!!!!!!1

I agree, the no-huddle is the key problem for the offense.
Yes, the O-line has to make last minute adjustments leading to confusion with blocking assignments and rushing to get the snap off.
Yes, the quarterback, instead of reading the defense, is waiting for a play-call, then has no time to see how the defense shifts after we audible.
yes, the quarterback, a true-sophomore, probably only has 2 audibles (one run, one pass) based on defensive alignment, which makes it very easy for the D to show one thing before we look to the sideline, then shift into the planned defense.
Mark my words, eliminate the no-huddle, the offense will immediately look better.

I agree that the meerkat offense needs to go. However, this goofy offense is not limited to LSU. Most college teams do this now. Florida did it all night. I'm not sure how much of an impact this has on our offense. Its just annoying to watch. If we mixed in a true no huddle offense that kept the defense off guard and winded that would be nice. Also, Jefferson is better when he rolls out and becomes an athlete. His throws are better and he appears to be more relaxed and confident.

Because they don't trust JJ to make the call on an adjustment. If you don't trust him, he should not be out there.

Is it just me or is a no huddle offense supposed to be quick. Get to the line and snap the ball before the defense gets set. Keep them off balance. I know that is what they do in the pros. In college do they just do it to stop the defense from being able to sub people on and off the field? I would have no problem if we ran a no huddle, but damn it on the frist play called the players should already know what the next two plays are so they can set up and get the snap away as quick as possible. This check off bull shite just drives up the freaking wall
