QB play in the Chick-fi-a bowl will have a huge effect on the commitment of Debose and Randle IMHO.

There is no way on the planet that they will intentionally start a true freshman.
JL is likely to be the starter and JJ and RS will compete for secondary duties.

...Or lost his starting duties to JJ via lack of improvement over the course of the 2008 season coupled with JJ having time to learn the playbook.
Make no mistake...IF JJ knows the playbook, it's a wide open race for QB in the spring.

It's an open race every year. JLee is the best QB on this team. JJ may very well be a better athlete. I'm not a fan of the Pat White type QB. But, I have to admit, Rich Rod is one of my favorite coaches.

If Lee is th best QB, why is JJ gonna start in the bowl game. It's pretty obvious that JJ has now passed Lee and is only going to widen the difference since JJ's passing and reading ability will continue to improve whereas Lee's running ability will never improve.
I hope Lee comes on strong because that can only help LSU but I just don't see him catching JJ once JJ settles into the starting role.

I believe the pledge of RS probably holds more weight with those guys than who's here now.
