Blue blood program that isn’t located in a very fertile recruiting area. Without a superstar hire, and if Texas schools and LSU are able to lock up the Dallas area, they could really struggle moving forward. All this along with joining the SEC where they will be more of an 8-4 program… the writing is on the wall for Oklahoma to be a powerhouse of the past.

No.

Hope this helps.

Nebraska can't recruit. OU will always have Texas.

OU recruits Texas as well and sometimes better than Aggie and TU and will never be far from Dallas. Also OU has the best national recruiting web out there other than ND

They have consistently landed Top 18-25 classes... the problem is the coaching. Many forget that prior to Stoops, Oklahoma WAS in the same situation as Nebraska is currently.

Oklahoma has been an elite program, with the exception of the 90s, basically since they started playing football. They’ll be fine I’m sure.

You just lost SoCal for the next 10 years at least, and A&M has been whipping you in Texas.

They were a losing program before Bob Stoops. Nobody is guaranteed anything without good hires.

If OU makes 3-4 hires like Nebraska's last 3 then yes.

But so would every other school.

I’ve been on TD for at least a decade now, and this is the funniest thing I’ve ever read on here.

Norman is a three-hour drive from Dallas. That's not a huge obstacle.

OU has obviously successfully made the change from the wishbone to the Air Raid. Nebraska has never recovered from abandoning the option.

OU had its rough patch in the immediate post-Switzer days, but this time they won't be looking to completely transform the program other than the upcoming conference change.

As mich as the OU posters think they couldn't, they absolutely could.

Lincoln is a nice place.

I've never been to or through oklahoma for anything.

When I say, can't recruit, I mean to the level of OU, LSU, tOSU, Bama, UGA, whoever else.

Being 23rd is not good enough for Nebraska. In the 90s, they were definitely a top 5 talented team. Some years, top 1-3.

The days of Nebraska going into Texas and getting a massive recruit have long been over. It got worse with the Big 10 move. They need to turn themselves into a hub for portal additions. That's probably their plan.

OU will be just fine. Michigan is a blue blood and they had down years but yet, here we are.

Exactly. My daughter goes to OU. Great campus, reminds me of TAMU but with a nice atmosphere and personality. Love Campus Corner. It is about 2.25 hours from my home in Denton County near DFW Airport.
