Dinardo wasn’t a dud, his entire tenure taken into account. He started the fence building. Just saying.

Exactly.

Dinardo wasn’t a dud and he actually had a good personality and was really like able as a person. He did great things early on in his time at LSU. He did “bring back the magic”. He had the unfortunate timing of coaching at LSU when Joe Dean was an athletic director and we didn’t pay assistant coaches jack squat. We started winning and other schools poached our coordinators. We wouldn’t pay enough to keep what we already had, much less pay enough to find quality replacements.

Dinardo did alright. He made the program appealing enough that it caught the eye of a coach from the Big 10 looking to get out of the shadows of Michigan and Ohio State.
