No he came from the Packers to coach Notre Dame. Then he left to pitch for the Cleveland Indians where he drank Jobu’s rum. This, and the fact that he was a prick to Rudy, caused Jobu to hit him in the head with a bat.

No, that was Ara Parseghian who decided to retire. They hired Dan Devine from the Packers.
