This melt has been frustrating and entertaining at the same time. The posters here have no one to blame but themselves for eating up these fake insider rumors and running with them.
There's still a quality coach out there that's coming to LSU, and it's probably been in the works since long before today's news unfolded.

I will never really don’t get the panic about one recruiting class.
Get the right coach and best possible coach you can get and the rest will fall into place. You sacrifice one year in order to have the best tenure.

That's an awfully big assumption. That leaves like...Brian Kelly and Dave Aranda? Maybe Fickell? Only Brian Kelly seems like they'd be in a position to actually make that demand given what the radio silence is doing to our recruiting. We were already really rough on the depth front thanks to O, and now we're looking at a serious rebuild when there didn't need to be one...
