My pops taught me to never be without one and I can't remember a day I haven't had a pocket knife on me on any of the days I can remember in my 41 years.
Don't go to a fricking football game. I went to a Saints game probably 15 years ago and got to the ticket stand and had to throw a knife away to get in. I was honestly shocked that there were 50,000 or so people in a building and no one has a pocket knife.

Yea that is the exception….I threw away a cheap Kershaw one time and now I leave them in the truck for games or concerts…..that is the exception to the rule.

Pro tip (I’ve worked the hand held metal detector at a Nascar event)…..
If this happens again - find you a spot somewhere on the grounds - under something, on top of something, or even bury it in a shallow hole beside something. I can’t tell you how many knives we’ve had to stop at the gate. Most of the guys who had a nice one took it back to their cars, some hid them outside the fence, some just said frick it and left them with us.
Made me sick to tell some older gentleman he couldn’t have a freaking pocket knife in there.
