I don’t get it. Some of you would crap your pants with excitement if it was Jimbo and he done nothing at A&M with far more resources than Lane who has accomplished much more with way less. I don’t care that he is cocky or corky. The guy is obviously brought his coaching to the next level and can win. But bring on the down votes because facts hurt your feelings.

WTH has lane kiffin done? Jimbo has won multiple national championships one as a oc and one as head coach.

He’s recruiting better than they have ever done in the schools history, finished number 5 in the final poll last year, Beat Alabama with a backup qb , is 2-1 against LSU so far and He’s held them together this season with no offense to speak of.

Kiffins in game decisions are complete shite

I’m with you. This board is insane for not wanting Kiffin. Remember, in addition to his success at Ole Miss so far, credit him for changing Saban’s mindset about offense/QBs, which has led to Alabama’s recent title runs. He was to them what Joe Brady was to us.

I don't think you'll find a LSU fan here that wants Jimbo

I would be happy with either, but the recruiting is interesting. Jimbo is putting together one hell of a class, and Kiffin has Ole Miss 38th in the country right now.

Jimbo is one of the 4 elite-elite recruiters in the game. The other 3 are Nick Saban, Kirby Smart, and Ryan Day. It's not a remotely realistic prospect, but half the point of stealing Jimbo would be keeping him away from our division mate located in one of our key recruiting areas. A&M as a program is a major, major problem for LSU long term.

Kiffin just isn't that good. He's not a guy that's going to ever get guys that Alabama, A&M, or Georgia actually want. Recruiting is the life blood of college football, and he just doesn't do it at a level that will ever let him not need to "do more with less". A common joke in the Georgia fanbase right now is "I don't know why the other teams don't just have their linebackers be DL/LBer/DB hybrids", and while Kirby Smart's scheme is very innovative, they're not wrong to point out that it really only works because the linebackers are athletic enough to cover the pass part of the RPO while being in position to make the R a short gain. I'm not sure if Kiffin has the stomach for it after how horrific his Raiders experience was, but he truly, truly should go to the NFL as either a HC or offensive coordinator. It fits him as a coach a lot better than college does.

First off, Kiffin is a general frick up. As a coordinator, bring him on all day everyday. He’s a brilliant play caller. As the long term leader of a major program; hard pass. The man-child is just not head coach material. Not a major program. Everyone conveniently forgets that he was already fired from USC for being a shitty head coach. Oh, he learned his lesson? He learned from his mistakes? Yeah, that’s exactly what Orgeron said when he was hired. You’re either a born leader or you aren’t, and he isn’t.

Secondly, why is his name still being brought up on this site, even casually? You know he was NEVER a candidate right? You know that Woodward would sooner promote Corey Raymond before hiring Kiffin, right? He was never on any list, top nor bottom, no tier, no chance.
